General Information

Parking:

Parking is provided on the Domain grounds (through the right hand gate). Once you have parked your car and the event has started you will be unable to leave in your car as the competitors will be using the only entrance and exit to the Domain. If you think you will need to use your vehicle, then please park on the roadside OUTSIDE the domain/cemetery grounds.

 

WHAT TO BRING:

Competitors must bring a water bottle (we suggest you bring at least 2), sunglasses and cap if you need them for the walk/run, sunscreen, bike shoes if you use them (not required for this event through), bike helmet, bike.


Pre Event Registration:

You must pre-register for this event. You can do this on, Friday evening between 5.oopm and 6.00pm or  Saturday morning from 9.00am to 10.15am. To register please go to the hall in the Domain to and collect your numbered bib and numbered bike sticker.

All competitors must wear a NZ safety approved helmet and ensure their bike is appropriate for competing in this event.

On the morning of the event, after you have registered you must put your bike, helmet, bike shoes (if you have them) next to your bike in the bike transition area. This area will be closed off from 10.25am and will not be opened again until the first competitors arrive for their bike transition. The bike transition area is across the road, next to the Woodbury Primary School and the Eleanor Tripp Library building (sign posted). You must return back to the Woodbury Domain to the start line for the warm up by 10.15am.

Marshalls will direct you around the course and through the transitions. You must place your bike back on the rack that you took your bike from (count the bike rows and racks in when you place your bike there after pre registration).


Results:

Every competitor that crosses the line will have a time posted on our website. We will endeavour to get these times up by 12 noon the following day. You will find your results on the results page of our website.


FIRST AID:

First Aid assistance, if required is provided for in the Domain Hall (sign posted).


Food/drink:

Food and water will be available to purchase (cash only) but you are welcome to bring your own picnic/refreshments for after the event.We have the fantastic Natasha Rankin with her DAHM good Coffee cart, joining us for all our coffee and hot Chocolate needs. Also our famous Hot Ham Rolls will be on sale again, as well as other nibbles and drinks to keep everyone happy on the day. We estimate the last competitor to be finished by 12.30pm.
Geraldine has some fabulous eateries and café if you wish to make the most of the local services.


LAVATORIES

We know what happens to our bodies when we get a bit nervous before an event! There are toilets located at the domain and the bike transition area. Also there are lavatories available in the Hall.


Supporters

Your support team are a crucial part of any event such as this. There is a small children's play area at the domain – please ensure you supervise your children on this area. All supporters must stand behind the roped off areas, but we do encourage you to show your support to your competitor when they finally cross the finish line, but to keep the finish line clear for the timekeepers and weary competitors.
